Microbiology Lab Technician Job Summary We're hiring a Microbiology Lab Technician in Ogden to join a quality-focused food manufacturing team. This role pays $18.65/hour and puts your microbiology skills to work in a regulated, GMP environment where your results directly protect product safety and quality. What You'll Do Perform aseptic sampling and microbiological analysis of raw materials, packaging, and finished products to verify conformance to specifications Conduct pH testing and commercial sterility testing on final products Execute environmental monitoring programs including plant swabbing, air monitoring, and water sampling on a scheduled basis Prepare culture media and materials for microbial testing, including growth promotion testing Calibrate and monitor laboratory equipment according to an established in-house schedule to maintain testing compliance Prepare samples and documentation for external laboratory testing when required Record test results accurately and completely following good documentation practices (GDP) Participate in lab investigations for non-conformances and out-of-specification results Communicate product quality concerns to QC technicians and QA/QC supervisors in a timely manner Maintain lab cleanliness and organization in accordance with 5S principles What You Bring Required Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field 3+ years of experience working in a food manufacturing environment under GMP conditions Working knowledge of food safety regulations, standards, and legislation Food safety certification demonstrating regulatory knowledge Preferred Prior experience managing or overseeing a microbiology laboratory HACCP certification or
