Job Overview:
Laboratory Technician (Elemental Analysis Focus) is responsible for performing operations of a laboratory, ensuring compliance, quality, safety, and accuracy of testing with a focus on elemental analysis by ICP-MS.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance and Quality:
Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards (e.g., CLIA). Ensuring accurate and reliable test results. Participating in proficiency testing programs.
ICP-MS Proficiency in ICP-MS including:
preparation of samples, standards and regents. Execution of ICP-MS methods of analysis. Data processing of
ICP-MS Results Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in operating all laboratory equipment and test methods. Interpreting laboratory test results.
Other Duties:
Collaborating with cross-functional teams. Maintaining a safe and eKective laboratory environment
Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
Minimum Bachelor degree in Science Required. Some experience in a dietary supplement or food laboratory preferred. Prefer
ISO 17025
experience.
ICP-MS/ ICP OES
preferred.
Skills:
Strong record-keeping skills. Ability to create and follow protocols and procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent computer skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Other Must be able to lift up to 50lbs occasionally. Must be willing to work in a manufacturing facility and setting.
