•How does this role support patient care at UVA Health?•The Rehabilitation and Mobility Technician works collaboratively with licensed nursing staff and rehabilitation professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to provide essential patient care support in an outpatient acute care setting. This role functions under the direct supervision of licensed medical personnel and plays a key part in promoting patient mobility and recovery. •What can I expect to do in this role?•+ Assist patients with mobility activities and therapeutic exercises as directed by licensed clinicians. + Support rehabilitation sessions and patient care procedures by preparing equipment and ensuring a safe environment. + Manage and maintain rehabilitation and mobility equipment, ensuring availability and cleanliness. + Promote the importance of early and ongoing mobility to patients and families in alignment with clinical care plans. + Provide hands-on assistance during therapy sessions and mobility activities, ensuring patient comfort and safety. + Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes. + Provide for a safe environment and safe delivery of care. + Actively participate in professional growth activities and maintains necessary skills and competencies. + In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

High School Graduate or Equivalent Experience:

Licensure:

American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required

Job requires standing for prolonged periods and frequently bending/stooping/traveling. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease. The pay range for this role is $18.50 - $19.59 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
