Job DescriptionConduct aerosol-related methods, such as aerosol gravitational particle size measurement and the electronic mobility method. Assist with aerosol sampling and collection for testing.

Perform daily laboratory duties to include preparing samples, performing analysis, calculating data, recording/reporting data, performing general housekeeping in alignment with 5S standards, and performing other duties as assigned.

Meet all quality and productivity metricsPerform instrument calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting, recognize errors, identify root causes, and maintain an excellent working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation.

Apply the highest quality standard in all areas of responsibility; maintain
ISO 17025
quality standards and accreditation for the laboratory.

Review data, data notebooks, logbooks, and reports to ensure the highest qualityDemonstrate strong client service skillsProactively plan and maximize productivityDemonstrate strong teamwork and collaborationImplement operational improvementsSupport and promote company policies and proceduresQualifications2+ years of relevant laboratory experienceExperience working with aerosol characterization preferred4-year degree in chemistry or related scientific disciplineExperience working within an established quality system (ISO 17025 preferred)Understanding of production laboratory operationsDetail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.

Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills along with demonstrated ability to collaborate with others.

Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude QualificationsBachelor's degree in chemistry or related scientific discipline, or equivalent directly related experienceExperience with production chemistry laboratoriesExperience in the tobacco industryExperience in GMP/GLP and or ISO compliance laboratory environmentAt least 2 years of laboratory experienceAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipAdditional Information The position is full-time, M- F 8 am to 5 pmMay be requested to work on weekends, overtime, and holidays based on business needs.
