A Medical Laboratory Technician helps with the performance of laboratory tests in toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology laboratories, which provide information for medical patient diagnosis and treatment. Sets up, operates, and maintains laboratory equipment, makes observations, and calculates and records results; receives, types, tests, and records blood bank inventories.

Job Description
With direct supervision and training, performs simple and routine laboratory procedures and tests. Collects, processes and relays specimens. Serves as receptionist and performs laboratory-related clerical duties associated with the requisitioning and reporting system of the Medical Center's Laboratory department. Minimum Qualifications Vocational training specific for laboratory required. Training must include vital signs, injections (IM, Subdermal, Intradermal), and venipuncture.
