We will be bonusing the candidate upon contract completion. Duties Collect, process, and analyze biological specimens such as blood, urine, and tissue samples using established laboratory techniques and procedures. Perform venipuncture (blood sampling) and specimen handling with aseptic technique to ensure sample integrity. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microscopes, centrifuges, and analyzers, adhering to safety standards. Enter data accurately into Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems while maintaining confidentiality. Assist in patient care activities by taking vital signs, providing patient service, and ensuring comfort during specimen collection. Follow proper protocols for specimen collection from diverse patient populations including pediatrics and geriatrics. Maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment by following infection control procedures such as aseptic techniques and proper specimen handling. Support hospital staff by providing timely results to aid in diagnosis and treatment decisions. Experience Proven experience working in a clinical or hospital laboratory setting with hands-on laboratory procedures and techniques. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical laboratory practices. Prior experience performing phlebotomy (venipuncture), blood sampling, and specimen processing is highly desirable. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for data entry and record keeping. Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics and geriatrics is preferred. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations. Ability to lift heavy objects safely when handling specimens or equipment, along with good manual dexterity for precise tasks such as venipuncture.
