• Facilitate the collection, processing, and shipping of urine specimens for laboratory analysis
• Collect urine specimens from patients, ensuring correct identification and proper documentation
• Conduct observed or supervised specimen collections, following established protocols
• Demonstrate customer service skills and compassion when interacting with patients, physicians, and clinic staff
• Communicate effectively with a diverse patient population
• Follow all safety and health regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and universal precautions
• Maintain neat, clean, and organized work areas at all times
• Accurately label and document specimens and prepare them for shipment
• Report low volume shifts, unusual problems, or deviations from procedures to supervisors
• Manage order processing and office supplies as needed Required Skills
• Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service
• Reliable work ethic with punctuality and dependability
• Strong computer skills, including managing multiple programs, emails, and reports
• Fast and accurate data entry capabilities
• Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse patient and staff base Additional Skills & Requirements
• Experience in specimen collection, preferably in a healthcare or laboratory environment
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Physical ability to perform frequent walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and squatting
• Availability Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Dress code includes solid color scrubs and closed-toe shoes
• Prior experience with HIPAA and OSHA standards is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional healthcare certification or training is a plus This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a critical healthcare support team, ensuring accurate and efficient specimen collection for laboratory testing.
