Job Description

Environmental Laboratory TechnicianJoin Our Team We are seeking a motivated Environmental Laboratory Technician to join our laboratory team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on laboratory work, has strong attention to detail, and is eager to learn. Previous laboratory experience is helpful but not required—we provide training for the right candidate. Primary Responsibilities Perform laboratory testing on water, wastewater, coal, and related materials. Conduct inorganic analyses using classical wet chemistry and modern laboratory instrumentation. Follow approved analytical methods, standard operating procedures, and quality assurance protocols. Prepare, analyze, and accurately document laboratory test results. Perform quality control checks to ensure accurate, reliable, and defensible data. Organize daily workload to meet productivity goals and client turnaround times. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment. Assist with routine laboratory maintenance, calibration, and general housekeeping as needed. Preferred Qualifications Laboratory or bench chemistry experience is preferred but not required. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Biology, or another science-related field is preferred but not required. Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good mathematical, organizational, and communication skills. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office. Willingness to learn laboratory instruments, analytical methods, and quality control procedures. Ability to follow written procedures and pay close attention to detail. Requirements Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Must be dependable and punctual. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
