Job Description

Are you looking for a position with a stable company that has much to offer? Wood is currently recruiting Lab Technicians to join our team in Upton, Wyoming. This position conducts standardized physical and chemical tests on materials by performing laboratory duties and analysis. You must be able to follow a procedure when performing sample analysis. Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required Strong computer skills surrounding data entry and data reporting. Documentation and record keeping Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities High school diploma or GED" Prior experience preferred; training will be provided. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug, background and fit test. Work schedules are equal to the operations schedule. Understand safety procedures and safety mechanisms to ensure safety standards are met, maintained and optimized. Collects samples of materials as directed. Maintains analytical equipment, preparation equipment and sampling equipment as necessary to ensure adequate operation. Prepare data for reporting following established procedures. Ability to perform arithmetic in various units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages. Ability to interpret graphical information. Ability to detect deviations from acceptable criteria. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions. Ability to apply critical thinking to standardized situations. During times of construction, retrofits, downtime, and other non-operating conditions, seek to help team members achieve the timeliest, safest, cost-effective and best outcomes.
