Job Description
Position:
Laboratory Technician Pay Rate:
$20.00 per hourSchedule:
Rotating shifts with 12- and 10-hour days, working no more than 4 days straight, with two weekends off per month.
Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to perform laboratory tests and maintain test results to determine the chemical and physical characteristics of additives, trona ore, plant liquors, and final products. This role is crucial for quality and process control purposes and involves auditing conformance to quality, manufacturing, and certified registration requirements.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sample Analysis:
Collect, prepare, test, and analyze samples of materials for chemical and physical characteristics according to established standards and procedures.Documentation:
Record and communicate results to management and supervisory personnel. Document conformance to quality standards and certified registrations.Non-Conformance Reporting:
Communicate non-conforming process or product sample results, calibration results, and ISO requirements to the Laboratory Supervisor and appropriate management.LabLite Program:
Understand and use the LabLite testing program, including its interactions and applications. Learn to program customer specifications and calculations.Equipment Management:
Set up, adjust, calibrate, clean, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments according to ISO standards. Prepare standard reagents for analytical procedures.Data Management:
Record, maintain, and distribute laboratory test results on standardized forms. Prepare graphs, charts, spreadsheets, and reports as required.Quality Assurance:
Be knowledgeable of all customer quality requirements and the impact of non-conformance on customers (internal and external). Review and approve conformance to customer specifications (process and product) and issue certificates of analysis.Qualifications:
Experience:
Exposure to chemical analysis, mathematics, and/or computer competency is preferred.Skills:
