1 Description American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a long-term care facility in Alaska, requiring an active LPN license and 2+ years of experience. Details Work in a long-term care (LTC)/skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting Provide nursing care to patients across various areas of the LTC facility Day shift schedule Uses medical equipment such as Dynamap, thermometers, Datascope, and pulse oximetry Requirements Current active Alaska LPN license required, if applicable Minimum 2 years of experience required Graduate from an accredited LPN/LVN program Current BLS certification required IV certification course required Must pass and maintain required position competencies, including a medication calculation math test upon arrival Documentation required for IV/central line site care, fall precautions, age-specific competencies, abuse/neglect, pain management, restraints and seclusion, blood transfusions, and other Joint Commission-required competencies DOB and SSN required for consideration Additional Information Provide quality nursing care to all patients with respect for patient rights and dignity Serve as a collaborative member of the nursing team, communicating effectively with physicians and medical staff Actual duties may vary depending on assigned area within the LTC facility Orientation held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays Facility-provided housing available in shared units with private bedrooms, separated by gender; no pets allowed Flight reimbursement available for economy-level travel to and from assignment, with required documentation submitted in advance New graduates accepted
