Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the mental health outpatient setting and possess a strong understanding of patient care.Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
- Administer medications and injections following proper protocols.
- Complete patient work ups for psychiatrist during scheduled doctor clinics. Monitor patient vital signs and report any abnormalities to the healthcare team.
- Assist in sterile processing and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Utilize electronic health record systems like Carelogic to document patient information accurately.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Assist Consumers in completing PAP applications
- Complete prior authorizations as required.
- Attain MAS certification (completed free through agency after hire) in order to oversee MHW's who assist with medications.
- On Call duties include answering calls from MHW's regarding medicines.
Experience:
The ideal candidate should have experience in the following areas:- Behavioral health
- Familiarity with Carelogic electronic health records (on site training provided with EHR)
Requirements:
- Active LPN license in state of Alabama.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Compassionate attitude towards patient care.
- Experience with diverse patient populations is a plus.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$16.00- $24.
