Gifted Healthcare is seeking a Travel MedSurg LPN for assignments in Dothan, AL. In this role, you'll deliver compassionate bedside care, administer medications, monitor patient status, and support RNs and physicians on a busy MedSurg unit. You'll coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, update electronic health records, and educate patients and families. Responsibilities Provide direct bedside care to adult Med Surg patients under RN and physician direction Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per orders Monitor, record, and report changes in patient condition and vital signs Perform wound care, dressing changes, and basic IV-related tasks per scope of practice Document care and assessments in electronic health records accurately and timely Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams on patient care plans Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and discharge instructions Adhere to infection control, safety, and hospital policies at all times Support unit workflow, including admissions, transfers, and discharges Maintain professional, compassionate communication with patients and staff while traveling between assignments Required Skills Medical-surgical nursing Medication administration Patient assessment Wound care IV therapy and phlebotomy Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation Care planning and coordination Patient and family education Infection control practices Vital signs monitoring
