Job Description

You are applying for a position through Medix, a staffing agency. The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients. Job Summary Our client is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee sanitation and nursing operations in a dynamic environment. This position focuses on maintaining staff health and safety by managing sanitation procedures and addressing any chemical-related incidents. Key Responsibilities Manage 3rd shift sanitation tasks with a focus on safety and health protocols. Provide first-aid to employees, particularly those handling chemicals. Maintain necessary documentation such as Sphere and MSDS for chemical management. Conduct occupational health assessments and handle workplace injuries. Monitor employee health by taking temperatures and vitals, and provide necessary care. Clear team members for work through health assessments and screenings. Support employees returning from FMLA with medical reviews. Qualifications 1+ years of LPN experience. Active LPN license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and charting. Skills Proficiency in charting and electronic record management. Strong communication and organizational skills. Experience in occupational health and emergency scenarios, such as ER or urgent care. Attention to detail when managing chemical or burn care. Benefits Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances). Eligibility for health benefits is based on verifying that an average of 30 hours per week during the first 4 weeks of the work assignment has been met. If you meet eligibility requirements and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s)). 401k (Eligible on the first 401k open enrollment date following 6 consecutive months on assignment. 401k Open Enrollment dates are 1/1, 4/1, 7/1, and 10/1).
