Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time staffing assignment in Cabot, Arkansas. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys working with both adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The selected LPN will support two programs each day: 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: Adult Services Unit 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.: Child Daycare/Preschool Unit This position offers the opportunity to provide meaningful, person-centered nursing care while supporting the health, safety, independence, and quality of life of the individuals served. Key Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications and document administration accurately. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature. Assess and respond to changes in an individual's health or condition. Provide first aid and respond appropriately to medical emergencies. Assist with specialized healthcare needs, which may include tube feeding, specialized feeding, and personal-care support. Maintain accurate nursing notes, medication records, health records, and incident documentation. Maintain children's immunization records and notify appropriate staff or parents when updated records are needed. Communicate with physicians, families, guardians, and program staff regarding health-related concerns when authorized. Help prevent the spread of illness by following infection-control procedures. Maintain adequate first-aid and medical supplies. Report emergencies, suspected abuse, medication concerns, and changes in condition according to facility policies and applicable reporting requirements. Protect confidential and protected health information. Work collaboratively with direct-support staff, teachers, therapists, administrators, and other members of the care team. Perform other nursing duties within the LPN scope of practice as assigned. Required Qualifications Current, unrestricted Arkansas Licensed Practical Nurse license. Current CPR and First Aid certification. Ability to pass all required drug screenings and criminal, FBI, adult-maltreatment, and child-maltreatment background checks. Strong medication-administration, documentation, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team. Compassion, patience, professionalism, and respect when supporting individuals with diverse needs. Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including assisting individuals and lifting or moving up to 50 pounds when required. Temporary-to-Permanent Opportunity The position may transition to permanent employment based on job performance, attendance, successful completion of all requirements, organizational need, and approval by Building Bridges.
