We are looking for a skilled LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to care for our patients in a professional and considerate manner. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse or doctor. LPN professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care for our patients and support for our surgical team. Responsibilities Provides nursing cares such as: medication administration, obtaining/recording vital signs, check/restock supplies, perform delegated procedures and timely complete documentation. Recognizes urgent or emergent patient care situations and seeks assistance from other team members to perform optimal care. Provides education to patient and patient's family members Prepares and administers medications and vaccines in a safe manner Administer injections, assist in surgeries, etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks Collect samples for lab testing as assigned Adheres to principles of infection control, safety and universal precautions - creating a safe environment for patients, families and co-workers Recognizes and responds to breakage/malfunctions or loss of equipment, safety hazards, and supply deficiencies Provide full range of practical nursing care to patients with a variety of physical and/or behavioral problems, completing assigned duties which involve performing nonstandard and specialized practical nursing activities under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Complete clinical reminders and reports of data findings to clinicians, provider, or RN. Laboratory experience preferred but not required. Skills Proven experience as LPN or similar role Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team Familiarity with ASC, safety and sanitation standards and procedures Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices Excellent knowledge of medical and ASC terminology Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and able to manage a high-stress environment

Education:

Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and/or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (

Formerly:

National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission). Proof of this requirement will be required prior to any anticipated start date.

Licensure:

Full, active, current, and unrestricted licensure as a licensed practical or vocational nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or District of Columbia. Proof of this requirement will be required prior to any anticipated start date. Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement.
