Job Description

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) working weekend days! In this vital role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Your expertise will support patient comfort, safety, and recovery through direct care, assessments, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working a flexible weekend schedule that promotes work-life balance. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients across various settings, including long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and acute care units. Conduct patient assessments by monitoring vital signs, performing physical examinations, and evaluating patient needs. Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols, medication management. Document patient information thoroughly using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with complex conditions like dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or infectious diseases. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards while maintaining patient confidentiality and safety. Experience Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with current state licensure. Prior experience working in medical-surgical units, long-term care facilities, hospitals, or emergency rooms is highly preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia provides valuable insight into specialized patient needs. Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), medication administration protocols, and basic life support (BLS) certification is desirable.
