Looking for someone interested in prn work with flexible availability. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories. Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and medication management. Perform specialized procedures such as catheterization, venipuncture, and sterile dressing changes with precision and adherence to aseptic technique. Document all patient interactions thoroughly using electronic health record (EHR) system Athenahealth to ensure accurate medical records. Assist with diagnostic evaluations involving medical imaging or laboratory specimen collection/processing to facilitate timely diagnoses. Educate patients and families on health coaching topics such as nutrition, and medication administration. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards to safeguard patient confidentiality and safety. Check in and out patients, verify insurance and collecting co-pays. Skills Proven experience working with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or Athenahealth for efficient documentation. Women's health experience preferred. Interested in hormone therapy. Skilled in performing invasive procedures like phlebotomy, IV insertion/infusion therapy, catheter care. Knowledge of advanced physiology concepts related to patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation across diverse populations. Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures, and documentation standards. Excellent communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and educating patients about their health needs.
