Specialized Private Duty Nurse LVN NH Care - 4.1 Fountain Valley, CA Job Details Part-time $30 - $32 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Assisting with ADLs Driver's License First Aid Certification Emotional safety support LPN Positive guidance disciplinary approach Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and highly qualified Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), to provide comprehensive, one-on-one care for our special -needs adult daughter in our home. She is a sweet, funny and social person. She loves to people watch, listen to music and be on the go. She is non-verbal and requires assistance with walking. The ideal candidate must possess behavioral management skills, with a proven ability to confidently establish structure and enforce firm personal and safety boundaries. This position requires a proactive professional who can balance excellent clinical care with emotional support, while safely managing community outings and transportation.
Key Responsibilities Clinical & Personal Care:
Manage medication, monitor health status, and assisting with daily living activities (ADLs) as required.
Behavioral Support & Boundary Setting:
Confidently implement a daily routine. Must be adept at managing behavioral frustrations or sensory challenges, remaining calm under pressure, and setting firm, consistent boundaries to ensure her safety and emotional well-being.
Transportation & Outings:
Safely drive and accompany our daughter to medical appointments and recreational community activities.
Communication:
Provide clear updates to the family regarding daily behavior, health changes, and progress. Schedule & Hours This is a flexible role that requires a mix of daytime, weekend, and occasional overnight shifts. We can discuss exact hours, weekly schedule, and flexibility requirements during the interview.
Job Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 2+ years of direct nursing experience, ideally with individuals who have special needs, developmental disabilities.
Driving:
Valid driver's license with an excellent, clean driving record. Must have reliable transportation and insurance.
Key Traits:
Exceptional patience and the assertive communication skills necessary to firmly redirect behaviors when needed.
Certifications:
Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
Background:
Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check, driving record check, and reference verification.
Pay:
$30.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 28.0 - 34.0 per week
