Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing quality care to patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with patient care, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team
- Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition
- Assist with specimen collection processing and perform basic laboratory tests
- Assist with sterile processing and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures, medications, and self-care techniques
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health records
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain aseptic techniques during procedures
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
Qualifications:
- Valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Compassionate nature with a strong desire to provide exceptional patient care
