Qualifications and Experience:

Current and valid LPN license or Certified School Nurse (CSN) certification in California Experience providing nursing care, ideally in a school or pediatric setting Ability to manage routine and emergency medical situations calmly and efficiently Strong communication and organizational skills Compassionate, student-focused approach with a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to students and staff, responding promptly to health concerns, injuries, and illnesses during the school day Administer prescribed medications and treatments following medical orders and district protocols Maintain accurate health records, documentation, and communication with parents and medical providers as needed Support the development and implementation of individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions or special needs Participate in health screenings, immunization tracking, and health education initiatives Collaborate closely with educators, counselors, and administration to promote the overall wellbeing of the school community This rewarding contract role offers the chance to engage directly with students and school teams while furthering your professional growth.
