Job Description

Experience an opportunity to make a meaningful impact as a dedicated LVN/LPN supporting a bright and resilient 5th grade student in a school setting. This full-time, onsite contract position near Rowland Heights, CA, is ideal for a compassionate nurse who thrives in a collaborative educational environment. Assignments start as soon as possible and continue through December 2026, offering a unique chance to build long-term relationships and advocate for student health and well-being.
Key Qualifications:
Current, active LVN license in California Valid CPR/BLS certification Previous experience working with school-aged children, ideally in a 1:1 capacity Demonstrated expertise in seizure protocols and administration of emergency medication Comfort and professionalism with toileting/personal care support Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively with students, staff, and families Enjoys a routine that includes riding the school bus with the student
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated 1:1 care and supervision for a 5th grade female student throughout the school day Monitor and manage epilepsy/seizure protocols, including administration of emergency medications when necessary Assist with toileting and personal care, respecting student dignity and privacy Support student safety on the school bus and in the classroom Maintain detailed health records and collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school health staff The weekly schedule varies slightly, with start times at 6:30 AM and end times ranging from 3:30 PM to approximately 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. This position allows you to play a significant role in a students daily success and well-being.
