Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Bring your nursing expertise to a dynamic educational environment, providing critical health support to students for the entire school year. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with students, educators, and families in a setting dedicated to learning and growth, located near San Mateo, CA. Your skills as an LPN/LVN will make a meaningful impact as you help foster a safe, healthy school atmosphere where students are empowered to succeed.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid LPN or LVN license in California Previous experience in a school setting or pediatric care preferred Strong assessment, clinical, and communication skills Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams A calm and compassionate approach in fast-paced situations Current CPR/BLS certification required Commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice
Key Responsibilities:
Administer medications and provide general nursing care to students Monitor and respond to health concerns, illnesses, and emergencies Maintain and update student health records and documentation Educate students and staff on health, hygiene, and wellness topics Communicate health needs and updates to parents and guardians Support students with chronic conditions, allergies, or special healthcare plans Collaborate with counselors, teachers, and administrators as part of the student support system Participate in health screenings and immunization clinics as needed If you are passionate about supporting the well-being of students and want to experience the rewards of working in an educational setting, this contract role could be your next career step.
