Candidate must possess and maintain a valid LVN license and BLS certificate throughout the duration of employment. Must be a quick learner with excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills. Must be flexible and willing to work in different fast-paced departments based on the needs of the clinic. This position will float between NRCH, Express Care, Family Practice, and Specialty clinics according to staffing needs.
License Required:
Candidates must possess and maintain throughout the duration of employment: current, valid and unrestricted license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse issued by the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians, California Department of Consumer Affairs.
Experience:
No experience required.
Certification:
Candidates must possess and maintain throughout the duration of employment: current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or CPR by the American Red Cross.
Special Requirements:
As a condition of hiring, all positions: When assigned to Detention Facilities, must possess and maintain a Sheriff's Department clearance. All eligible full-time, part-time, or permanent-intermittent employees who are on probation or who have been in a new work assignment for less than three (3) months may also bid to any open permanent position in the same classification or in the same level of a deep classification (if applicable), per the Teamsters Local 856 MOU. Per Diem employees may bid for a vacant position that is open in the same classification and in the same Department in which they are currently working as a per diem if they are also on the eligible list for the classification that is open for bidding. The bid will be considered if, when bidding is closed, there are less than three (3) employees who are not on probation or in new assignments who have bid for the position. Per Diem seniority is determined by the first day a per diem employee works in their current classification. Temporary employees may bid for a vacant position that is open in the same classification and in the same Department in which they currently are working as a temporary employee if they are also on an eligible list for the classification that is open for bidding. After bidding closes, the temporary employee bids will be considered if there are fewer than (3) permanent employee bidders (including probationary and new assignment bidders) and there are fewer than three (3) per diem employee bidders for the vacant position. When more than one temporary employee bids on a vacant position, the temporary employees will be considered in order of temporary seniority. Temporary seniority is determined by the first day a temporary employee works in their current assignment.
