Job Description
Bring your nursing expertise to a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in an educational setting near Santa Maria, CA. As an LPN working in a school environment, you'll make a positive impact on students' health and well-being, collaborating with staff, parents, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current and valid LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in the state of California Previous experience in pediatric, school, or community health nursing strongly preferred CPR/BLS certification (must be current) Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills Compassion and professionalism when interacting with students, families, and staff Ability to respond quickly and calmly in emergenciesKey Responsibilities:
Provide routine and emergency care to students, including administering medication, treating minor injuries, and monitoring chronic health conditions Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with privacy and school guidelines Educate students and staff on health and wellness topics, including hygiene and disease prevention Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and district healthcare partners regarding student health plans and needs Assist with health screenings, immunization compliance, and individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) Support students with special needs and work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary educational teamBenefits:
