Summer Camp Nurse (RN/LPN) CampHire • Overnight camps in California • Mid June to Mid August (flexible) with full summer and one month opportunities available. Overview CampHire is recruiting nurses to work at premier overnight summer camps in California. If you are a Registered Nurse or LPN looking to provide care to children this summer, this is the job for you! Nurses live onsite and manage the Health Center, providing top quality care to campers and staff for the duration of the summer. This is the perfect opportunity for School Nurses or those interested in advancing their career in a camp setting. Discounted camper tuition is available for candidates with children that would like to attend camp. Housing and travel provided. One month and full summer opportunities available. Roles & Responsibilities Provide medical care to the camp community. Regularly communicate health and safety tips to campers and staff, including visiting bunks and monitoring overall wellbeing of campers and counselors. Review camper medical records and partner with parents and staff to create tailored health plans that adhere to camper needs. Organize daily distribution and administration of medicine to campers. Ensure allergies are handled safely and that campers with dietary restrictions are taken care of during mealtimes. Manage inventory of medical supplies. Occasionally act as overnight nurse. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, treatments, and incident reports. Prepare first aid medical kits for weekly off-site trips and overnights. Oversee postseason closing of Health Center. Qualifications Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or LPN in CA Experience working in pediatrics preferred. Experience working at summer camp preferred. Compensation & Perks $1,200 to $1,500 a week based on experience and background. Private adult housing provided as well as travel expenses to/from camp. All meals included.
