Elite Corporate Medical Services is actively seeking a skilled and adaptable Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our dynamic team on a per diem basis. This role involves delivering exceptional service across various client locations throughout California. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will provide services such as injections (vaccines and flu shots), blood draws for titers, health screenings and assisting with physicals. Valid and active registration as a California Licensed Vocational Nurse. Must have or be able to obtain and maintain the Basic Life Support certification. Working knowledge of medical terminology. Proven knowledge of basic medical procedures, with an area of strength in venipuncture and injections. Familiarity with electronic medical record systems. Ability to work in a variety of locations and office spaces. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. Must have the ability to drive up to 375 miles in a single day. Typical travel areas are located in Tulare, Fresno, Kings, Kern, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Monterey, Santa Barbara, San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. Additional areas may be required based on client contracts. Willingness to work at least 1 to 3 days per week Monday through Friday during flu shot season (September thru November) and 1 to 2 days per week Monday through Friday the remainder of the year. Ability to stay overnight based on distance needed to travel to/from the client site and time of event. Must have an active drivers license that meets California good driver standards and company insurance guidelines. If company vehicle is not available, must be able to provide own transportation (mileage reimbursement applies). Duties/Responsibilities:
Works independently at a variety of college and client worksites administering vaccines, drawing blood and screening patients. Documents patient information, including vaccine(s) administered in the electronic medical record system. Educate patients and their families on healthcare topics and self-care techniques. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
