Job Description

A recognized services organization in Virginia is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an Evening shift opportunity with their team in the Greater Norfolk Area. In this role, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will be responsible for providing care in a crisis stabilization center for children.  About the

Schedule:
Monday to Friday (rotating weekends)
Hours:
5pm to 10pm
Setting:
Crisis Stabilization Center Patient Population:
Pediatrics Responsibilities:
Assisting with medication as needed Implementing and maintaining individual service plans Conducting ongoing physical and mental assessments Maintaining accurate consumer records Monitoring consumer safety Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
1+ year of Nursing experience in a Mental Health and/or Residential role/setting Graduation from an accredited Practical Nurse Program Current Virginia unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Teamwork and communication skills Ability to work rotating weekends
Desired Qualifications:
2 years of experience with Developmentally Disabled persons Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare regulations Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) State Hospital or Acute Care experience Basic knowledge of Medication Compliance and side effects
