This contract role is perfect for an experienced LPN/LVN with a strong clinical background who thrives in one-on-one care environments. Your specialized skills will help ensure a safe and inclusive educational experience for a child in need throughout the full academic year and the month of June.
Key Qualifications:
Valid and active LPN or LVN license Previous experience working in pediatric, school, or similar medical settings Demonstrated competence in G-Tube feeding, oxygen administration, and oral suctioning Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare teams Dependable, compassionate, and adept at handling sensitive medical needs Current CPR certification required
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Deliver direct nursing care to a medically fragile child during classroom hours Monitor, manage, and document the student's medical condition and interventions Administer treatments such as G-Tube feedings and oxygen as prescribed Provide oral suctioning and emergency support as needed Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to facilitate individualized care plans Maintain detailed and confidential health records in accordance with school policies
