Elevare Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our medical team. The LVN/LPN provides hands-on nursing care to individuals receiving treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. This role works closely with nursing leadership, medical providers, therapists, and behavioral health staff to support safe withdrawal management, medication administration, patient monitoring, and continuity of care. Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care, complete nursing assessments, monitor vital signs, and identify changes in patients' medical or psychiatric condition. Monitor and manage withdrawal symptoms using approved tools such as CIWA and COWS, while supporting safe detoxification and patient stabilization. Administer medications, including MAT medications, monitor effectiveness and adverse reactions, and maintain accurate medication documentation and controlled medication counts. Respond to medical and behavioral health emergencies, including overdose, withdrawal complications, suicide risk, and psychiatric crises. Collaborate with physicians, nursing, clinical staff, and the treatment team to coordinate care, educate patients, document services, and support discharge planning.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse program Current, unrestricted LPN or LVN license in the state of employment One year of experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, detox/withdrawal management, psychiatric nursing, or emergency/acute care Behavioral health, substance use treatment, detox/withdrawal management, psychiatric nursing, emergency care, or acute care experience preferred Current CPR/BLS certification CPI, crisis prevention, or approved de-escalation training as required by facility policy Knowledge of substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and patient-care skills Education Associates Degree Experience Entry Level (0-2 years)
