Albert Vein Institute, Colorado's leading facility for varicose and spider vein treatment, seeks a highly qualified Medical Assistant or LPN to join our growing AVI Team.

Requirements:

Must have at least 2 years medical experience in a physician's office, surgery center, or equivalent combination of training and experience; high school graduate or GED and current certifications. Experience in a surgical setting is preferred. Experience starting IV's or in phlebotomy preferred. IV Certification can be provided upon hire.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform selected medical assisting and administrative duties, and assists provider as part of the clinical care team Assist provider and medical team in clinic and in surgery on a daily basis. Perform (Transcranial Doppler) testing, including maintaining and ordering equipment as needed Start IVs Wound Care (minimal) Confirm surgery appointments and conduct pre-op and post-op patient calls. Prepares, cleans and maintains exam and treatment rooms Injections (training provided) Triage and responds to patient communications within practice policy Maintain OSHA compliance and training manuals for the Practice Contributes to the development of policies and procedures Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations Maintains strict confidentiality (HIPAA) Treats staff, visitors and patients with dignity and respect Performs other related work as required

Education:

Current Medical Assistant training and certification or current Colorado LPN license Current BLS IV Certification will be required

Experience:

Two (2) years medical experience in a physician's office or equivalent combination of training and experience

Travel:

Travel between Colorado Springs and Lone Tree offices is required of all employees of

AVI, 0-2

days a week, as needed.
