Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Medication Aide to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering medications and providing essential support to individuals in various healthcare settings, including assisted living facilities. Your expertise in patient care and medical terminology will be vital in ensuring the well-being of our clients, particularly those with developmental disabilities. Duties Administer prescribed medications to patients according to established protocols and guidelines. Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects related to medication. Maintain accurate medical documentation regarding medication administration and patient care. Collaborate with Administrtor to develop individualized care plans. Assist in daily living activities, providing support to patients as needed. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the facility. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members regarding medication management and patient progress. Must be able to work weekends and holidays Skills Proficient in medical terminology and documentation practices. Experience in home community care settings is preferred. Knowledge of systems related to patient care, particularly for individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong interpersonal skills for working effectively with patients and their families. Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team, including nurses and medical office staff. Familiarity with assisted living environments.
