Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Wheelchair Van Driver to join our transportation team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers with mobility challenges to and from their destinations, ensuring a comfortable and secure experience. Your enthusiasm for customer service, combined with your driving expertise, will help us deliver exceptional service to those who rely on our transportation solutions. This position offers an engaging opportunity to make a positive impact in the community while honing your driving skills. Responsibilities Safely operate wheelchair accessible vans and other vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Assist passengers with boarding, securing wheelchairs, and ensuring their comfort throughout the journey. Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a friendly, professional attitude and addressing passenger needs promptly. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues to ensure vehicle safety and reliability. Manage schedules efficiently by picking up and dropping off passengers at designated locations on time. Communicate clearly with dispatchers, passengers, and team members to coordinate routes and address any concerns during transit. Lift heavy mobility equipment or assist passengers requiring additional support, demonstrating physical strength and safety awareness. Experience Valid driver's license. Clean driving record. Ability to pass background check. Reliable, punctual, and professional. Customer-service focused attitude. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with diverse passengers and team members. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance routines to ensure safety standards are consistently met.
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
