Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting a medically fragile student in an educational setting. This contract position offers a structured schedule with predetermined Wednesday shifts from now through June. Youll work directly with one student, making a significant impact in their school experience while contributing to a collaborative team atmosphere.
Key Qualifications:
Active LPN or CNA license in the state of Connecticut Current BLS/CPR certification Previous experience in school nursing or as a Certified Nurse Assistant is highly valued Professionalism, dependability, and a compassionate approach to pediatric care Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with school staff and familiesRole Overview:
Provide dedicated 1:1 care for a medically fragile student during the school day Administer medication and monitor health as indicated by the student's care plan Assist with daily living needs, mobility, and medical support as appropriate Document observations and interventions; communicate regularly with school nursing team Ensure student safety and wellbeing across the school day and during transitionsSchedule Details:
Work Wednesdays only, 7:30 AM 2:30 PM (or until early dismissal at 12:10 PM) Coverage on specified dates from September through May Onsite interviews when possible for best fit This unique position allows you to focus your expertise and compassion on meaningful 1:1 care in a stable, supportive environment.
