Job Description

Discover a meaningful contract position supporting a medically fragile student in a dynamic school environment. This opportunity is located in the New Britain, CT area and is ideal for compassionate professionals who excel in one-on-one care settings. As an integral part of the educational team, you will work Wednesdays only, from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM, with an adjusted end time of 12:10 PM on early release days. Coverage is needed on select Wednesdays throughout the school year, through June 11.
Qualifications:
Current and valid LPN license in Connecticut BLS/CPR certification required Experience as a School LPN, LPN/LVN, or Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) preferred Previous work with medically fragile or pediatric populations is an advantage Professional demeanor and commitment to confidentiality Reliability and the ability to work independently in a school setting
Key Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care to a medically fragile student during the school day Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage medical needs as prescribed Collaborate with school staff and healthcare professionals to ensure the students safety and well-being Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with school and legal requirements Communicate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams This role offers the unique chance to make a genuine impact in a supportive educational setting while enjoying a stable, predictable schedule.
