A school in the New Britain, CT area is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide compassionate, dedicated 1:1 care for a medically fragile student at the high school level. This position follows a set schedule on Wednesdays, ideal for professionals looking for consistent, predictable hours within the school environment.
Key qualifications:
Current LPN license in Connecticut Valid BLS/CPR certification Previous experience as an LPN in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred Strong professionalism, reliability, and commitment to student wellness Ability to collaborate with school staff and communicate effectively with families Role overview: Deliver attentive, individualized care to a medically fragile student throughout the school day Monitor, assess, and address the student's health needs per their care plan Administer medications and support with daily needs as required Maintain thorough documentation and clear communication with families and school health officials Uphold safety and infection control procedures in the school environment Work every Wednesday from 7:30am to 2:30pm, with a shortened end time of 12:10pm on early release days Assignment dates include: Sept 16; Oct 7, 21, 28; Nov 11, 18; Dec 9, 16; Jan 6, 13, 27; Feb 3, 10, 24; March 31; April 7, 21, 28; May 12, 19, 26 If you value making a difference and can commit to this vital role, apply today to support a student's health and educational experience in a welcoming school community!
