Monday- Friday, 8 hour shifts, varying between 7:30am- 6:00pm Reports to :
Practice Manager Position Summary :
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for the delivery of patient care under the direction of the Physician. The LPN prepares and assesses patients for the Providers in-office, triages patient phone calls and schedules surgeries. The LPN is hands on with providing clinical care including manual vitals, medication review and administration and assists with coordinating and scheduling patient care plans and surgeries. Essential duties and responsibilities : Conduct patient assessments Administer prescribed patient's medication, treatments and therapies according to physician's orders Coordinate care plans Coordinate prior authorization for medications and insurance forms Triage patient phone calls Maintain a clear communication with other members of the patients' multi-disciplinary team Fostering a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families Schedule surgeries Communicate with patients post-delivery or post-surgery for wellness check
Skills/qualifications :
Current state issued LPN license. Current CPR certification. Electronic Medical Record experience. 1 year LPN experience, OBGYN preferred. Strong critical-thinking skills.
