Licensed Practical Nurse Willow Estates - 3.3 Altamonte Springs, FL Job Details Part-time $19 - $22 an hour 23 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Tube feeding BLS Certification Medication pass administration LPN Patient interaction Full Job Description Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Private In-Home Care Job Overview We are seeking a dependable, compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one nursing care for an older adult in a private home setting . This position is ideal for an LPN who enjoys building a consistent relationship with one patient and providing attentive, personalized care in a comfortable home environment. The nurse will assist with daily medical needs, medication administration, feeding tube care, catheter care, routine assessments, and monitoring for changes in the patient's condition. The position is approximately 8 hours per day . Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications according to the patient's medication schedule and physician orders Provide appropriate care and medication administration through the patient's feeding tube as directed Assist with feeding tube care and monitor the tube site for any changes or concerns Conduct routine patient assessments, including vital signs and basic physical assessments Monitor the patient's overall condition and recognize and report significant changes or concerns Empty and provide routine care for the patient's urinary catheter and drainage bag Monitor intake, output, hydration, and other relevant health indicators as appropriate Maintain accurate documentation of medications, assessments, care provided, and any changes in condition Follow established infection-control and safety practices Communicate with family members and healthcare providers regarding the patient's care and any concerns Provide compassionate, respectful, and attentive care while helping maintain the patient's comfort, dignity, and quality of life Qualifications Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license Current CPR/BLS certification Experience with or comfort providing feeding tube care and administering medications through a feeding tube Knowledge of urinary catheter care Ability to perform and document routine nursing assessments and vital signs Ability to recognize changes in a patient's condition and appropriately communicate concerns Strong medication administration and documentation skills Dependable, patient, compassionate, and comfortable working independently in a private home Experience caring for older adults is preferred but not required Schedule Approximately 8 hours per day. Specific days and hours can be discussed based on the patient's care needs and scheduling requirements. We are looking for a caring and reliable nurse who values personalized, one-on-one care and can provide consistent support to both the patient and family.
Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
