Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in patient care across diverse settings. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, hands-on nursing support, ensuring the highest standards of safety, comfort, and medical accuracy. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster a positive environment for patients of all ages, from neonatal to geriatric populations. Whether working in hospitals, long-term care facilities, or community clinics, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional nursing services that improve lives every day. Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to inform care plans. Administer medications and injections with precision, including IV infusions and catheterizations, ensuring adherence to HIPAA and safety protocols. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth to document patient care accurately and efficiently. Assist with complex procedures such as airway management, tube feeding, venipuncture, suturing, and sterile processing techniques. Conduct diagnostic evaluations using medical imaging or laboratory testing; process specimens for accurate analysis. Provide specialized care for patients with conditions like Alzheimer's disease, dementia, infectious diseases, or those requiring hospice or palliative care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in emergency rooms, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), Level I Trauma Centers, or pediatric units such as PICU to deliver urgent and acute care. Support discharge planning and case management efforts to ensure seamless transitions between inpatient and outpatient settings. Educate patients and their families on health coaching topics including medication administration, nutrition, pain management, and chronic disease management. Maintain strict compliance with infection control standards and aseptic techniques to safeguard patient health. Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU and emergency medicine), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics. Critical care experience in Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers is highly valued. Familiarity with
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding systems for accurate medical documentation and billing processes. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR platforms like Cerner or Athenahealth for efficient patient record management. Prior roles involving trauma care, post-acute care settings, or home & community-based services are advantageous. Demonstrated ability to perform IV insertions, phlebotomy, medication injections, and catheterization procedures confidently. Knowledge of physiology principles relevant to patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation across age groups—including pediatrics (neonatal ventilator use) and geriatrics (memory care).
