Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting the health and well-being of students as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a dynamic school setting near Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. This is a contract opportunity, offering part-time, PRN (as needed) assignments with the possibility for full-time placements, depending on district needs. You'll make an impact within an elementary, middle, or high school—providing crucial care and guidance to students in the health room each day. Your day will be filled with meaningful moments, addressing the varying medical needs of students, collaborating with school staff, and fostering a safe environment. Orientation and thorough training at the district office will set you up for success prior to your start date.
Qualifications:
Active Florida LPN license required High school diploma or GED Current CPR/BLS certification School-based nursing experience preferred, but all LPNs encouraged to apply Must complete fingerprinting (or verify existing fingerprints/clearinghouse status) and obtain a JLA badge before starting Ability to work on-site; virtual options are not available
Responsibilities:
Provide daily care to students in a school health office Respond promptly to health issues and emergencies throughout the school day Maintain accurate health records and documentation Collaborate with staff and families to support student wellness Demonstrate professionalism and adaptability across various school locations
