Education Requirements:

Graduate of a school of Practical Nursing. Licensed in the State of Georgia as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Experience:

Entry Level Required Skills:

Must demonstrate competency in basic nursing skills. Must maintain excellent interpersonal relationships with others.

Physical Demands:

Good physical and mental health. Must be able, without limitation to lift, bend, pull and push, or stand for long periods of time using proper body mechanics. Must possess visual acuity with corrective lenses to read printed material and visualize patients to the degree that changes in color or respirations can be detected; hearing ability with auditory aids to understand the normal speaking voice without viewing the speaker and auscultation of the chest using a stethoscope; and speaking ability to ask and answer pertinent questions and relay information. Must demonstrate the ability to wear properly fitting respiratory mask for periods of time without limitations. Must be able to work under stressful conditions and situations. Must be able to work under close supervision or independently as the situation requires. Licensed Practical Nurse Core Utilizes the nursing process in planning or providing care for patient's/resident's ages, neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric Maintains safe environment for patients/residents, co-workers and self. Demonstrates effective leadership and organizational skills. Assumes responsibility for professional activities.
