Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract This opportunity is ideal for a dedicated LPN who thrives in a school setting and is passionate about supporting students with complex needs. This short-term contract position calls for a skilled nurse to provide one-on-one care for a student, ensuring safety and well-being during the school day.
Assignment Details:
Duration:
July 6th, 2026 through July 16th, 2026
Schedule:
14 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Key Qualifications:
Active LPN license in the state of Georgia Previous experience in a school or pediatric nursing environment Proficient in monitoring vital signs and tube feeding management/assessment Comfortable managing and assisting with ADLs and transfers Skilled in seizure management, including monitoring, documenting, and VNS support Experience with asthma management and the use of a suction machine Confidence in caring for students with medically complex needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide individualized, compassionate 1:1 care to a student throughout the school day Monitor and document vital signs and overall health status Administer tube feedings and manage related equipment Deliver hands-on assistance with daily living activities and safe transfers Respond quickly and appropriately to seizures and utilize VNS equipment as needed Manage asthma symptoms and operate a suction machine if required Communicate effectively with school staff, family members, and medical professionals This role offers the rewarding chance to make a meaningful impact in a student's life and gain valuable school-based nursing experience in a supportive setting.
