Job Description

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Clinical AssistantJob Overview We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Clinical Assistant to join our healthcare team. An LPN license is preferred but is not required. We are open to candidates with experience as a Medical Assistant, Clinical Assistant, Phlebotomist, or in another hands-on healthcare position. We are willing to train the right person who is dependable, motivated, and eager to learn. This position works closely alongside our Nurse Practitioner and includes a combination of hands-on patient care and medical administrative responsibilities. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with patients, is comfortable in a busy clinical environment, and can help keep the Nurse Practitioner's schedule and patient flow running smoothly. Pay & Benefits $30-$35 per hour for qualified LPN candidates , depending on experience and qualifications Pay for non-LPN candidates will be based on experience and qualifications Retirement plan included Supportive outpatient clinical environment Opportunity to learn and expand your clinical experience Opportunity for additional hours as the position grows Schedule & Hours Part-time with the potential to grow into a full-time position Approximately 24-30 hours per week to start Primary schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday Additional hours and days may become available based on clinic needs, experience, and availability Duties & Responsibilities Administer or assist with medications and injections, including semaglutide , when permitted by the employee's license, training, scope of practice, and clinic protocols Assist with patient intake and gathering relevant medical history Measure and accurately document vital signs Prepare patients and treatment areas for injections and minor in-office procedures Assist with placing patients on and taking patients off treatments Work directly with the Nurse Practitioner to maintain efficient patient flow and appointment times Assist with chart documentation and other medical administrative tasks Assist with medical billing, ICD-10 coding , and insurance-related documentation Verify insurance benefits and authorization requirements for scheduled appointments Obtain required insurance authorizations when necessary Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients throughout their visits Assist the Nurse Practitioner and other clinical staff as needed throughout the day Preferred Qualifications Active Hawaii LPN license preferred, but NOT required Medical Assistant, Clinical Assistant, Phlebotomy, or other healthcare experience is welcomed Experience with injections and outpatient clinical procedures is a plus Familiarity with medical terminology and ICD-10 coding is a plus Experience with medical insurance, benefits verification, or prior authorizations is a plus Basic understanding of patient care practices Strong computer and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and help maintain an efficient clinical schedule BLS certification or willingness to obtain Professional, dependable, and compassionate approach to patient care You do not need experience in every area listed above to apply.
