Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Spanish speaking Private Duty Nurse to provide personalized care to patients in their homes or designated healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for patients through attentive and individualized nursing care. This role requires flexibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with healthcare teams. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate health status and needs. Perform physical examinations and monitor vital signs regularly. Administer medications and injections as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Provide IV insertion and catheterization when necessary, maintaining sterile techniques. Develop and implement health coaching plans tailored to individual patient needs. Educate patients and families on health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies. Document patient care activities accurately using eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in teaching hospitals or other healthcare facilities as needed. Facilitate travel nursing assignments when required, adapting to various environments and patient populations. Experience Previous experience in private duty nursing or similar roles is preferred. Familiarity with travel nursing practices is a plus. Proficiency in performing physical examinations, patient assessments, IV insertion, and administering injections is essential. Experience working in teaching hospitals or acute care settings is advantageous. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively are required.
