Deaconess IL / Red Bud Regional Hospital is looking for a compassionate and dependable RN or LPN to join our outpatient clinic team and work alongside our Gastroenterologist. This is a great opportunity for a nurse who enjoys building relationships with patients, working in a clinic environment and being part of a collaborative team. What you will do : Provide nursing care to GI patients under the direction of a Gastroenterologist. Obtain medication history, perform medication reconciliation, vitals and other pertinent clinical information, Assist providers with exams, procedures, diagnostic testing as appropriate to scope of practice. Obtain prior authorizations for procedures and specialty medications. Provide medication instructions, coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, laboratory services and follow up appointments.

Qualifications:

Current Illinois RN or LPN license / BLS certification Clinic or gastroenterology experience is a plus but not required. .
