Role Overview:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides patient care in collaboration with RNs, assisting with high-acuity patients and supporting the Unlicensed Nurse (UNL). Responsibilities include administering oral and IV piggyback medications, performing trach care, dressing changes, inserting and caring for NG tubes, managing ostomies, and reinforcing discharge education. The LPN charts assessments and care plans after initial RN assessments, communicates with physicians/APPs to coordinate care, and ensures proper documentation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification from Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days from American Heart Association College diploma as an LPN Ability to pass medications, manage IV fluids (excluding push meds), and perform wound and device care Effective communication and documentation skills This role offers a competitive hourly range and comprehensive benefits, supporting professional growth within a patient-centered environment.
