FT Nights 7p-7a
Compensation:
LPN = $35-$40 RN = $40-$45
Responsibilities/Qualifications:
Demonstrates proficiency in administering the fundamentals of the nursing processes. Provides direct and individualized nursing care to assigned group of patients based on proven principles, under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responds to the needs of the patients in detoxification, addresses symptoms of withdrawal and implements proper protocols, communicates with physicians regarding patient's status and needs, therapeutically blocks AMA's and facilitates therapeutic groups. Prepares, administers and records medications in accordance with the policies regarding the administration of medications by a license practical nurse. Shares responsibility for planning, implementation and evaluation of appropriate treatment plans. Records all information concisely, accurately and completely. Communicates frequently with treatment team regarding patient's physical and mental conditions. Identifies and utilizes appropriate channels of communication. Responds professionally and appropriately in crisis situations. Recognizes and responds appropriately to priorities in assignments: performs routine assignments independently: seeks direction when indicated for unusual or non-routine duties; and advises appropriate personnel of situations requiring additional nursing expertise or technical follow-up. Communicates units' rules and policies clearly to patients and their family members and seeks feedback to assure a clear understanding. Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility to changes in the work environment. Any other duties as instructed by management. Acquire and maintain all CEU, CPR, trainings, etc. as required by JCAHO.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in related field.
  • Valid RN or LPN License in State of Indiana.
  • Knowledge of chemical dependency and substance dependency population.
  • Basic knowledge of detoxification assessment and treatment procedures.
  • Ability to understand and oversee medication management.
  • Ability to react appropriately to interventions common to chemically dependency patients.
Pay:
$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
