Our Lenexa facility offers comprehensive care in Family Practice, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and Urgent Care. We are looking for a dependable, compassionate, and adaptable Clinical Float to join our team. This position will be primarily based at our Lenexa office but will provide clinical support at other Sunflower Medical Group locations as needed. The ideal candidate enjoys working with different teams, adapting to varying clinic workflows, and helping ensure our offices remain well-supported and running smoothly. Position Overview The Clinical Float supports clinical operations across Heartland Primary Care/Sunflower Medical Group, with Lenexa serving as the primary home location. This position may float to other practice locations to provide coverage for staffing needs, vacations, call-outs, increased patient volumes, and other operational needs. Under the supervision of the Nursing Manager and Providers, the employee will provide direct patient care and assist with clinical and clerical responsibilities. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, learning different workflows, and collaborating with a variety of providers and clinical staff. Key Responsibilities Room patients, obtain medical histories, and take vital signs Provide clinical support to providers across Family Practice, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, and Urgent Care as needed Coordinate medication refills and lab results Manage patient phone calls, messages, and follow-ups Assist with in-office procedures Administer medications and injections within scope of licensure/certification Provide patient education Support providers and clinical staff with daily patient care needs Adapt to different clinic workflows, providers, and patient populations Provide coverage at other Heartland Primay Care/Sunflower Medical Group locations as needed Assist with maintaining efficient clinic operations during periods of high patient volume Maintain effective communication with patients, providers, and clinical staff Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications We are hiring for the following licensed/certified roles: Medical Assistant (CMA/MA) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Relevant outpatient or primary care experience is preferred. Pediatric, Family Practice, Obstetrics, or Urgent Care experience is a plus.
