Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Nursing care to all clients Enters data into EMR software regarding nursing observation, discharge summaries from outside facilities, treatments and procedures performed Obtains vitals, blood draws and urinalysis Completes incident reports as needed Reports changes to client condition to the nurse in charge and/or physician Administers topical, Sub-Q IM injections and oral medications per provider order and completes proper documentation Orders medication from pharmacy per provider order Ensures all medication documentation is in place (this includes checking in and discharging.) Completes nursing assessment upon admission of client. Assists in maintaining orderly unit appearance. Perform other duties as assigned and/or directed by Nurse Manager or Nurse Practitioner. Follows all protocols per Pecan Haven policies and procedures. Works along with techs to promote a safe environment for clients and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate of a practical or vocational nursing program Graduate of an RN or LPN program Current license to practice nursing in the state of Louisiana Minimum of 1 year experience in a clinical setting Current CPR certification Minimum of 2 years uninterrupted sobriety if in personal recovery
