"I CARE": I ntegrity, C ompassion, A ccountability, R espect, and E xcellence Central Louisiana State Hospital located in Pineville, Louisiana is seeking applicants for vacant positions in our Nursing Department as a Licensed Practical Nurse 1-3 who provides basic nursing care to assigned patients/clients in stable conditions and in predictable situations in accordance with the Professional Nurses Practice Act. The Licensed Practical Nurse 1-3 plays a vital role for the Louisiana Department of Health in the Behavioral Health community by utilizing CLSH's values and mission to deliver quality and effective care to our patients. The hospital is highly committed to cooperative work with other state agencies and with the state and regional mental health program to insure the integration and coordination of hospital-community services into a comprehensive system of mental health care. Possession of a current Louisiana Practical Nurse license, a temporary permit, or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state. Job Duties:
Verifies, prepares, and administers oral and parenteral medications as prescribed by the physician and documents procedure. Applies dressings, topical ointments, and other treatments as ordered by physician. Documents procedures and maintains accountability of medications through prescribed documented accounts. Carries out physician orders providing they do not require specialized nursing medications. Check emergency trays and oxygen equipment and refrigerator thermometers. Documents provision of nursing care and assists with maintenance of patient/client records in accordance with standards. Maintain a clean and safe medication room. Participate in monthly medication review, PME audit, and weekly medical reviews

Team Compensation:
Position is eligible for Premium Pay of $10.00 per hour and Longevity Pay starting at $2.00 per hour. This position has a bi-weekly SER (Special Entrance Rate) of: $1,558.40 for an LPN 1 $1,667.20 for an LPN 2 $1,784.00 for an LPN 3
